©OBANDO is an internationally recognized multidisciplinary design practice and high-perfumery house founded in 2020 by Juan Carlos Obando.

Art director, Product Designer, Photographer and cultural polymath, a fervent alumnus and researcher of the Bauhaus movement, Juan Carlos fully revealed his design skills within the fashion industry between 2008 and 2019 through his namesake label, earning a reputation for redefining the concept of modern American evening wear with his unassuming approach and suggestive use of silk as the main archetype.

With the sense that not only does a scent have to engage and seduce but also reflect the presence of the person wearing it, Obando feels it's not good enough anymore to just create a beautiful perfume. It's about coming up with work that can express perspectives with multiple layers of meaning, none tinged with nostalgia, but rather a mirror held up to its time.

Juan Carlos is based in Los Angeles but works worldwide, most often in Bogotá and Milan.
