VESSEL OF VOYAGE / TRAVEL SET

In contrast to the travel-size vial's immediacy and spontaneity, and to enable new interactions between space, object, and beholder, a handcrafted prototype study was commissioned to serve as a travel set / vessel of voyage companion. 

The individually available component showcases industrial design values and traditional goldsmith skills, utilizing raw materials like gold and bronze. The organic, bubble-textured form conjures an unpredictable and asymmetrical totem, turning the device into a signifying gesture.

CRAFTSMANSHIP

The visual and functional properties of the vessel, as a voyage companion, create a dialogue between the artificial and natural, the irregular and regular, while also highlighting the design's aesthetic sensibilities.
